# Manage Categories

QwikTest supports following categorical hierarchy.

1. Categories
2. Sub Categories

For a detailed understanding, refer to the following example.

### Categories

To manage categories, login to the admin account and select `Manage Categories > Categories` from the sidebar menu.

### Sub Categories

To manage subcategories, log in to the admin account and select `Manage Categories > Sub Categories` from the sidebar menu.

### Map Sections to Sub Categories

To map sections to the subcategory:

1. Log in to the admin account and select `Manage Categories > Sub Categories` from the sidebar menu.
2. Click on the **Map Sections** button of a subcategory, then check the Sections from the list. You can assign multiple sections to a subcategory.
3. Finally, click on the **Update** button to map the sections.&#x20;

**Why Map Sections?**

Mapping sections to a subcategory is useful to fetch subjects associated with a particular subcategory.
